American Hospital Association (AHA)

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organisation in the USA and presides over all types of hospitals, health facilities and their patients and communities. It unifies almost 5,000 hospitals, public health systems, networks, providers of care and boasts 37,000 members.   Through its own activities and through bodies representing its interests, the AHA contributes to the interests and requirements of its members being heard not only for purposes of national health policy and legal and administrative regulations and debates but also in the legislature.   Since the founding of the AHA in1898, it has promoted the public health system and is a source of information on health topics and trends.

To advance the health of individuals and communities. The AHA leads, represents and serves hospitals, health systems and other related organizations that are accountable to the community and committed to health improvement.
